Savior on the Spilled Blood Church

The Savior on the Spilled Blood Church is an outstanding church, one of the most known images of St. Petersburg. It's an Orthodox church built on the place where the Tsar Alexander the 2nd got murdered on March 13, 1881. The church was built in a Byzantine-Russian style. The interior of the church is decorated with more than 7,500 square meters of mosaic images, describing scenes or persons from the Bible.
