The museum is located in 1774 Hezekiah Alexander Home Site, the oldest surviving house in the county. The visitors can join a guided tour to see the two-stories rock house and explore its rooms and kitchen while learning the habits and way of life in the late 18th century.
The museum itself hosts some exhibitions regarding the Rock house and different sides of Charlotte.
